  1. Dan says

Radio Africa is a holding company that has several radio stations… technically they’re not a radio station and are thus not eligible.

  2. Susan says

There are other fans in the category for Kenya (support) that should have been listed. Tony Ongango and Arigi where are you???. Please take my cup!

  3. says

@Dan, we had a problem distinguishing between KissFM, ClassicFM, and Radio Jambo. Both read the same news script. So trying to say that its Kiss or Classic or Radio Jambo that is nominated is hard.

@Sue, Arigi, Tonyango (and Maddi) had to be disqualified since they are amongst the fanatics that had to nominate whom they think is the real fanatic. Thats my kobole cents.

    The Minister.

  4. says

    Hi Dan,
Almost all the radio stations under Radio Africa play the same news script.

The rugby stories come from all. Thats why we chose to Nominate Radio africa. The nominations had Kiss, Radio jambo and some had classic. So to sum them all up we chose Radio Africa.

    I hope that explains it.

    The Minister.

  5. says

Valid point raised by Dan. I’m not sure how fair it is to Homeboyz and Capital to be up against a group of stations whose demographics are different.

Seems to me that the selections committee should have judged each of the Radio Africa stations individually.

But this is a tricky one!

Still, kudos on the inaugural Elliptics gala.
