Elgon Cup 28th April, 2012 – Macho Red

Kenya will host the second leg of the Elgon Cup on Saturday, 28th April, 2012 at the RFUEA grounds.

In the first leg hosted by Uganda, the Kenya national mens 15s team went down 19-5 to Uganda Cranes while the Kenya Lionesses lost 15-6 to the Lady Cranes. You can read more about these games here.

Kenya will therefore be coming from behind. The Kenya men’s national team will have to beat Uganda Cranes by more than 14 points, while the Kenya Lionesses will have to beat the Lady Cranes by more than 9 points. Hopefully playing in front of a home crowd will give Kenya the extra boost they need to ensure wins for both teams.

Abedeen Shikhoyi, the Kenya Lionesses captain, will be missing in action this weekend. She sustained a spinal injury during the first leg in Uganda and is currently recuperating in hospital. Join this group to send her your best wishes and get updates on her progress.

Games begin at 1.30pm. See the poster below for more details.
